Wrapping it up!

Greetings all! :)

Thank you to those of you who could make it out to our holiday wrapping fundraiser at Barnes & Noble and supporting our mission-to assist animals in need. We had lots of fun meeting you all and sharing with you what we do here at D.O.G.S.
It was a successful fundraiser and the people at Barnes & Noble were super helpful!

Excuse our signage we weren't sure what we could have, however the people at Barnes & Noble were very helpful; so come prepared with a sign! :)

Barnes provided us with a table, chairs, supplies and wrapping paper. What a great and easy fundraiser for non profits to connect with. I highly recommend giving it a try. Barnes has this fundraiser every year around the holidays for all types of non profits!

All funds raised go directly to assisting animals in need. Thank you to all the generous donors and to Barnes and Noble, now we can help more furbabies!

Furbabies!

Greetings everyone, brrrrr it's cold here in MN! :)

Dogs Of A Good Society had the opportunity to be present at Pet Project Rescue's adoption event on Sunday, where we got to meet soooo many adorable furbabies ready for their FUREVER home. We were ready to give supplies and food to any new moms and dads. Below are just some of the cuties available. Check them out with PPR at http://www.petprojectrescue.com/

Meet Tig, he's full of energy great with people and animals. He is a lab mix, very friendly and lovable and is very responsive to new training commands.

Meet Bert, he's about 1 year old hound mix. Friendly, loveable, good with animals and people.

Meet Luna, about 10 weeks old mix puppy, very friendly and loves to cuddle.

Meet Bernice again, she's ready for her furever home. She's about 2-3 years old mix. Great with people, dogs, cats and is so well mannered. She is so lovable, we wonder why her and any of these furbabies are still in foster!

Meet Giovanni again, friendly, adorable, well mannered furbaby that gets along with animals and people. About 1 1/2 year old mix

The weather may have kept people from visiting us that day, but if you meet these lil' guys in person I believe your heart will melt and you may have found a furbaby just right for you! :)

Tis the Season...

Tis the Season, deck the halls, it's time to be jolly fa la la la la la! Well, here at D.O.G.S. we are always jolly over animals!

Partnerships

Greetings! :)

We at D.O.G.S. are grateful for partnerships with amazing groups such as PPR (Pet Project Rescue) http://www.petprojectrescue.com/. We were present and ready to assist animals in need at PPR's recent adoption event at Urban Tail http://www.urbantailspetsupply.com/
We wanted to spread the word about D.O.G.S., support PPR and offer food and supplies to people who were welcoming a new furbaby home!

We got to meet so many wonderful rescue animals:

Sweet kittens ready for their FUREVER home

Bernice-3 year old chereta Japenese Chin mix, loves cats, dogs and kids, very sweet and friendly and so mellow-rescued from an animal felon home

Sweet kitty, very friendly and mellow

Giovani-1 year old Beagle mix good with kids and other animals and loves to play

Suzy-4 month old lab rescued from Mexico, she also has a brother named Stewart who is just as sweet

There were lots of kitties, all so sweet and waiting for their FUREVER home.

Monthly Happenings!

Hope you all are staying warm, we are getting colder here in the Midwest!

Dogs Of A Good Society is having "Spotlight of the Month" and Monthly Giveaways. Please pass this info on to rescues, organizations and animal resource agencies. We are here to help!

Spotlight of the Month
D.O.G.S. is happy to highlight an animal (s) from organizations/rescues that we have collaborated with and are still waiting on their FUREVER home for what reasons we can't understand..

Sweet, affectionate 1-2 year old kitty, lives with other dogs, cats, and children currently in foster home.

Monthly Giveaways
Each month we will be doing a giveaway to an animal rescue organization to assist with gift baskets, transportation, supplies and more! This month we will be holding a costume contest in celebration of Halloween: enter your rescue animal to be highlighted with D.O.G.S. network and social media and you may also win a great giveaway, it's that simple! :)

Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

Greetings everyone! :)

Time sure flies! The end of October will mark a year since Dogs Of A Good Society has been incorporated. We have worked hard on getting our IRS 1023 non profit status application submitted over this past year and now we are just waiting for the results. We are also gearing up for our first Annual Meeting this week with our board members. One of our requirements each year to continue to have D.O.G.S. up and running.

Looking back we have worked on:

Fundraising
IRS 501c3 application
Providing donations and supplies
Data base for fostering, resources, etc
Networking
Social media
Outreach
Most of all assisting animals however we can, please help us pass the word that we are here and we are here to help :)

In the past year I have learned a tremendous amount from a non profit start up and I look forward to continuing to learn more and more every day. D.O.G.S. has been a career and life changing experience for me and I wouldn't change anything about it. I am very blessed to be here and to see D.O.G.S. grow. It's become not only D.O.G.S. mission to assist animals, but my life mission. And to think it all started with these two little furbabies...:)

Who Knew?

Hi everyone, :)

We have been working on a resource database compiling of various assistance programs and info; some are old and some may be new. We would be happy to share with anyone who is working with assisting animals in need. We are here to help and hopefully can streamline resources to one another. Also currently in the works: foster and rescue database, slowly but surely it is coming along.
