Monthly Happenings Part 2!

 About Me: I am a wonderful little guy. I have a very endearing, goofy boy. My tongue hangs out of my mouth most of the time because I am missing a lot of teeth (but no worries - I still eat and drink just fine - TCPR even has me on a diet!). I was recently released from a commercial breeder to TCPR. I am a little shy when being handled, especially when being picked up. I am learning what it is like to live in a home, and so far I love it! I have met other dogs and cats and I do very well.

BRRRRRRR it's cold in here, get your furbabies some gear! :)

BRRRRRR it's cold here in the Midwest! Below 20 or so brrrrrrrr

 D.O.G.S. is preparing for our cold weather festivities, we wanted to remind everyone to bring your animals inside, keep them warm, get them some cold weather protecting gear and don't forget about them outside!  If you see an animal outside in this weather help the furbaby out-call 311 or 911.  A couple of weeks ago one of my neighbors forgot their little doggie outside and we brought him into our home until we could reach the owners.  It's that simple, they were happy we did and they honestly just forgot about their furbaby!

I know my furbabies paws get really cold when we let them outside to potty so we have to put some doggie boots on them.  It really helps, they may take some time to get use to walking in them but they do work! :)  Check out Urban Tails Pet Supply http://www.urbantailspetsupply.com/ in Mpls for some gear; they are local, family owned and support rescues!

Wrapping it up!

Thank you to those of you who could make it out to our holiday wrapping fundraiser at Barnes & Noble and supporting our mission-to assist animals in need.  We had lots of fun meeting you all and sharing with you what we do here at D.O.G.S.
It was a successful fundraiser and the people at Barnes & Noble were super helpful!

Excuse our signage we weren't sure what we could have, however the people at Barnes & Noble were very helpful; so come prepared with a sign! :)

Barnes provided us with a table, chairs, supplies and wrapping paper.  What a great and easy fundraiser for non profits to connect with.  I highly recommend giving it a try.  Barnes has this fundraiser every year around the holidays for all types of non profits! 

All funds raised go directly to assisting animals in need.  Thank you to all the generous donors and to Barnes and Noble, now we can help more furbabies!

Furbabies!

Greetings everyone, brrrrr it's cold here in MN! :)

Dogs Of A Good Society had the opportunity to be present at Pet Project Rescue's adoption event on Sunday, where we got to meet soooo many adorable furbabies ready for their FUREVER home.  We were ready to give supplies and food to any new moms and dads.  Below are just some of the cuties available.  Check them out with PPR at  http://www.petprojectrescue.com/

Meet Tig, he's full of energy great with people and animals.  He is a lab mix, very friendly and lovable and is very responsive to new training commands.

Meet Bert, he's about 1 year old hound mix.  Friendly, loveable, good with animals and people.

Meet Luna, about 10 weeks old mix puppy, very friendly and loves to cuddle.

Meet Bernice again, she's ready for her furever home.  She's about 2-3 years old mix.  Great with people, dogs, cats and is so well mannered.  She is so lovable, we wonder why her and any of these furbabies are still in foster!

Meet Giovanni again, friendly, adorable, well mannered furbaby that gets along with animals and people.  About 1 1/2 year old mix

The weather may have kept people from visiting us that day, but if you meet these lil' guys in person I believe your heart will melt and you may have found a furbaby just right for you! :)

We at D.O.G.S. are grateful for partnerships with amazing groups such as PPR (Pet Project Rescue) http://www.petprojectrescue.com/.  We were present and ready to assist animals in need at PPR's recent adoption event at Urban Tail http://www.urbantailspetsupply.com/  
We wanted to spread the word about D.O.G.S., support PPR and offer food and supplies to people who were welcoming a new furbaby home!  

We got to meet so many wonderful rescue animals:

Sweet kittens ready for their FUREVER home

Bernice-3 year old chereta Japenese Chin mix, loves cats, dogs and kids, very sweet and friendly and so mellow-rescued from an animal felon home

Sweet kitty, very friendly and mellow 

Giovani-1 year old Beagle mix good with kids and other animals and loves to play

Suzy-4 month old lab rescued from Mexico, she also has a brother named Stewart who is just as sweet

There were lots of kitties, all so sweet and waiting for their FUREVER home.
